Manu National Park in Peru is the most bio-diverse place on earth. From the highlands of the Andes to pristine lowland rainforest, Manu is the Amazon at its very best (which is why its a World Heritage Site). Manu will feature in August 2016 issue of National Geographic magazine and will cover both the wildlife and the human populations of Manu. Manu is home to several indigenous people including the Machiguenga (Matsigenka) and Mascho Piro people, many of whom live in total isolation from the outside world.
